Lima
From 12/22/2013 to 1/11/2014
Lima was the bookends for our Peruvian adventure. The first day was spent wandering along the shoreline, both above the cliffs and down on the beach. I won't dwell on the wonderful sunburn that resulted from that walk... The next day we took a taxi to central Lima to visit the cathedrals and plazas, and was even able to catch the changing of the guard.
We headed to Cuzco early Christmas morning, but were back in Lima after our Amazon adventure. Spent the last night watching the sunset from a restaurant balcony, Pisco Sour in hand (El Jefe was right - who knew lime and egg whites could be made to taste so delicious!)
